HIGHLY RECOMENDED This is a wonderful place with very kind people. Its also the house of the owner and his family and they are literally there all day for you is you need anything. SERVICE is perfect. LOCATION is also perfect. In a valley between Mountains you have a beautiful, calm nature place where you can relax. The houses are New and basic. But they have airco and a clean pool. Also there is family dinner every night, its good food for a modest price. Also prices of water and beer are fine and you can pay in the end. I highly recccomend this place.

I had a wonderful stay here for a few days. I rented a motorbike and had all my meals and coffee here, and it was very inexpensive. Absolutely beautiful atmosphere. The family who runs the place are very helpful and made my time there even more enjoyable. I highly, highly recommend for anyone hoping to experience the beauty of the island!
After trying a hotel in the center of Cat Ba, and considering/passing by Woodstock Jungle, we decided to stop at Cat Ba Countryside Homestay because of the atmosphere, friendlyness of the people and because it's affordable. We got a private bungalow with private and clean bathroom. We stayed a week and got friendly with the two workers taking over the family who runs the place (who happened to be on vacation when we went there). The only advice I would give to this place would be to enhance the bed (bungalow 5) which was a little too soft to our taste. Take earplugs (karaoke dogs roosters singing a good part of the night) as this is indeed a countryside. Oh yes, they got a pool as well!

Very nice place Near to hospital cave n national park Clean room, comfy bed n good bed sheet, towel. Generous n helpful host family Our family with 2 kids enjoy our 3d2n here very much Hike to the peak behind the homestay is not difficult, my 8yo kid enjoy the rock climbing trail,
What a fantastic time we had! So relax, great food, good mattress:-) Our kids loved the pool and their son. This is truly a vietnamiese experience!
Very bad experience, I do not recommend, there are places at the same price including breakfast with a much better location and better services ...
