I visited the National Park with my favourite fellows twice, the first time was in June 2019, and the second was in Feb 2020. Both trips were incredibly enjoyable. Walking in side the park and absorb the healing energy from Mother Earth. I didn't check out the reservation part for animals though, just the botanical part only. Will return soon!

Spent two weeks here with Save Vietnam's Wildlife. everything about the trip was amazing. While there is minimal English outside of the rescue centers located here there is no shortages of stuff to see. In my two weeks there I was able to visit the primate, turtle, pangolin, and bear centers as well as explore the local towns. If you are up for a bit of stairs the Cave of Prehistoric was another amazing visit.

Had a lot of fun exploring this park. They have a monkey sanctuary that you can visit. The park took us a bit to get to from Ninh Binh so leave earlier rather than later. Once I the park it's another 20 km to the welcome center in the middle of the park. Along the way there are stops to view ancient trees and caves. We had time for a jungle hike to an ancient tree and the prehistoric cave. For the prehistoric cave I recommend seeing it! Its a bit of a hike up some stairs. Once inside the cave keeps going back and opens up into multiple rooms. There is a section in which you can go upstairs to another cave above by climbing 2-3 ladders worth of stairs. Bring sturdy shoes, a flashlight or your phone's flashlight if planning on going deeper into the cave. Also in the upper cave there is a large group of bats, be kind to them. Wish I had more time to explore this park. If you like getting off the beaten path and doing some exploring yourself this is for you. Bring water, bug spray, and your motorbike to get through the park.

The butterfly during April were wonderful, though too many cars and tourist do influence their ecosystem. Not much clear view of the surroundings.

Nice national park. Visit the turtle and monkey rescue center and then go I to the park. For the longer Hicks you need a guide. There are some smaller ones you can do without. Also the prehistoric cave is interesting. It has two entries, therefore you can cross it and after getting out turn left and after 400 meters on sharps stone (follow the red dots), you arrive at your starting point.

If you like nature, being annoyed of too many tourist and want to breath fresh air the Cuc Phuong National Park is the right place for you to visit! It takes you a 1 1/2 h motorbike drive from Tam Coc to the park entrance where you have to pay a fee of 60.000 Dong. The receptionist will give you a map and explain you some details of the park. Then you have to drive another 20 km to the center of the park where you can park your bike (make sure you have enough petrol in your bike!). There is a small cafe/restaurant where you can rest before you start the 2 hours circle trip passing the 1000 years old tree. The walk is not too challenging and you can enjoy the sound of the jungle and fresh air with almost being alone the whole time. On the way back heading towards the park exit you can make a short stop to visit the cave of prehistoric man where you should bring a torch or enough power for your flashlight on your phone. Definitely worth to visit.
