the boat will pick up you and ride you to restaurant and the price is really reasonable but be careful before you pay the bill make sure its same with what you order. Because I went to one of restaurant in the they served us likes orange for desert, we thought it was compliment but the added to our bill

It was an experience. Went with my wife and my father and we got to point out our fish. The prices were a little higher than normal but it was really pleasant to sit out on the waters in Cat Ba and enjoy a dock experience. The fish was great, practically leaping off the plate.
We paid 250000 VND for a small plate of burnt shrimp. There was literally nothing else on the plate. Same thing with grilled squid. That's just overpriced. The food wasn't even well cooked. Perhaps the experience would be better if you know the actual process of ordering the seafood from the basins when you enter the restaurant but there was no help due to the limited English skills of the staff. You're better off visiting the restaurants with the floating bridges instead.
Not sure what all the fuss is about in the negative reviews. Very friendly people, nice free boat ride and 150k for a lot of food we couldn't finish including beer.
Didnt go so cant comment. We were going to go but then read the horror stories on these floating resteraunts (not this one in particular). So we didnt go. Lift your game floating resteraunts (all of them). Us tourists arent as stupid as you think..
These floating restaurants are just horrible. It is hard if not impossible to get prices before ordering and it is hard to just leave as customers depend on restaurant's boat to get back to the town. If you decide to stay, the bill will have VERY high prices.
Avoid this or any other floating restaurant they are mafia and you'll have to pay to get back to land.
