I came here as part of a tour along the DMZ from Hue. There is a museum at the base and they have preserved some of the bunkers including one of the command bunkers. There are military vehicles and planes on display. As with all museums about the war in Vietnam be open minded to what you read. Much of it is distorted history and misleading photograph captions relating to the ‘imperialist American invaders and the south puppet government ‘ . It’s a good visit though and I enjoyed the history and being on this famous site.

Another remnant of Vietnam war. It’s relatively small, located on open fields with some buildings and bunkers still standing. You can see a couple of tanks, chopper, cargo plane as well as indoors exposition. It’s bit hidden from the main road, so you can easily miss the junction.

Nice American relics of the war here, but do not be fooled by the antique salesmen that will follow around the whole time claiming to have found medals and trinkets from the area that go back to the war. There are methods of making new medals look old, and these guys deffently know about it. The fact that we were only allotted 40 minutes by our tour guide and that these salesmen followed me around the whole time, it goes without saying that I wasn't able to enjoy the whole area to its fullest. Regardless, it is a place well worth seeing.

Let us thank our all wise, all knowing politicians for sending us to Vietnam for no reason at all. After all, government knows best.

This base has some nice material on display but don't expect much more. The locals trying to sell you stuff also know a little bit about the history.

Great place to visit, lots of history and the army artefacts are amazing to see. They are doing work to improve the sight which is great. You can get a coffee at the site.
