Was a new experience. Could have been better had the water levels were higher. The helmsmen were kinda walking on the swamp than riding most of the time. Beautiful and pleasant weather to spend time though.

Very peaceful going down the river. Keep in mind the boat is very narrow and does sway a lot from side to side so if your not into that then this may not be for you. Our guide Giang was very nice and informative A!!

This island is the standard destination for all of the 1-day Mekong Delta tours coming from Saigon, as it's the closest to the city, about two hours by bus. After a short boat ride from the boat terminal in the small city of My Tho on the banks of the river, you're dropped off in what the Vietnamese call an Eco-tourism area, where you'll experience a commercialized version of rural life along the Mekong. You can buy local products such as honey and coconut candy, try the local tropical fruits, see performances of traditional folk music, and of course buy souvenirs like the traditional conical hats. The highlight of the visit is a short paddle boat ride on a small canal lined with lush water coconut trees that winds it's way from the center of the island back to the island shore.
Boat ride on the Mekong sounds more glamorous than it really is. Saw some interesting sites along the river. Humid and hot!

Boat rides up & down the river. Nice meal of local mekong province food. Playing tug of war with an alligator while also feeding it. Admiring local produce and fruits while listening to vietnamese musicians folk songs. Tasting honey from local farms and coconut candy. Get some souvenirs. Ride a horse driven cart. Take a boat ride along the river delta in the local folks' backyard. Say goodbye to the warm and friendly locals. Have a nice day.
