I used to like this pagoda a lot until it was too crowded. A pagoda must be a quiet place to find peace in mind. On some vacations, there were many people there and my mom was stolen a pair of nice shoes there. In order to go inside to pray, you have to put your shoes outside. I'm always worried about my shoes after my mom lost her shoes there. There are 3 entrances, choose the wrong one at the main street, you can't get in. You need to go to the other gates.

A beautiful waterside pagoda with an interesting history. Worth a visit, especially during prayer time.

Beautiful place in Haiphong
Guard hated the sight of me and wouldn't allow me in. There were Vietnamese tourists inside taking photos, the only conclusion I could come to was that he hated foreigners. Wouldn't recommended anyways, it's a large trek from the city center I don't feel would be worth it regardless of being allowed in. I got to see the general grounds which was nothing impressive. It's also next to a really smelly sewage lake.
