The national park is stunningly beautiful. The above-ground landscape is verdant and lush. The below-ground landscape is covered in intricate stone formations.

An elaborate limestone cave system located about 200 km from Hue. The cave systems are a UNESCO world heritage site for the longest wet caves, and are within the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park with access possible by road directly from Hue or train and road options from Hue - Dong Hai - Phong Nha. There are bus tours which operate from Hue costing about 25 USD which start at morning seven from Hue, reach Phong Nha at about noon. The bus tours provide a tour guide, lunch (with some vegetarian options too) and also include the boat ferry to Phong Nha and back. The caves are lit up providing magnificent hues of the limestone formations. The entire tour inside the caves is for about an hour, which honestly I felt breeze through like a second. There are a few options for the adventurous ones to stay at phong Nha and soak in the natural beauty around. Definitely worth seeing.

1 of the most beautiful parks I have ever seen. drive through the park along the brown road( you see it on the picture) with the motorbike, this is the easiest way to get there and see everything about the park. you will definitly enjoy the caves, gardens and the view that you can see there.

Amazing cave. The boat will take you inside the cave like Trang An Ninh Binh. But each cave has special beauty. It deserves a world natural heritage.

Nirvana is this world heritage site. The National Park of Phong Nha-Ke Bang is 93.5% forest A natural wonder of the world and perhaps the world's most beautiful cave is Paradise cave. We spread tall grass to find a beautiful swimming hole with clear green water and a little cave. The drive through the park is phenomenal! some of the best lush and windy mountains we've experienced in Vietnam. Roads are quiet and in great condition. Through this lush jungle we find the cave entrance to be a small mouth that opens to 100 m grand cathedral ceiling and is 31km in length. Staggering stalagmites rise up from this underworld palace. You can even swim through an underground river. Stalactites reach down from this heavenly space forming magestic columns. Opened to tourism in 2010, we were blessed to be one of maybe 20 people at Paradise Cave that day; most of which just quickly walked through. Awestruck, we 4 layed on the ground in meditation. One perspective came of flying above a gorge. Another of being on an alien planet. Yet another of this being the real world. We stayed 4 kms off Phong Nha tourist strip @Palafita Bungalows and loved it. Views of sunrise and set were a bonus. Plus they have the best beds in Vietnam, pillow top mattress!! Divine dream time. A must see for any eco adventurer!!

I could not resist the extraordinary beauty and wonder of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park. It is such a beautiful tropical jungle with mountains, pure rivers and springs, caves, and a huge diversity of plants and animals. I was also very lucky to visit in the butterly season when millions of butterflies flies along the jungle roads. You could also hear the forest sounds like the melody and the music of the jungle. The quietness and the fresh air could enlighten your souls, connecting your spirit with the nature.

Designated a Unesco World Heritage site in 2003, the remarkable Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park contains the oldest karst mountains in Asia, formed approximately 400 million years ago. Riddled with hundreds of cave systems – many of extraordinary scale and length – and spectacular underground rivers, Phong Nha is a speleologists’ heaven on earth. The Phong Nha region is changing fast. Son Trach town (population 3000) is the main centre, with an ATM, a growing range of accommodation and eating options, and improving transport links with other parts of central Vietnam. The caves are the region's absolute highlights, but the above-ground attractions of forest trekking, the area's war history, and rural mountain-biking means it deserves a stay of around three days.
