This place has a little Chinese style therefore it doesn't look very luxurious. However food tastes are super special and outstanding. Price is also very good (700k vnd for 2 dishes of grilling beef and a large set of hot pot. This could serve 7 persons)
Best Fish Hotpot for family
First thing first, this small restaurant specialises in hot pot and is owned by a Chinese family. This reflects in their flavourful soup filled with rich meaty taste combined with the freshness of Vinh Long ingredients and a twist from the old Chinese folks. The soup here will definitely make your stay at this little sleepy town a memorable one. As a local, I grew up eating at this place on festive and special occasions. So I do have lots of personal memories tied to it. It is little bittersweet to see the restaurant lost some sort of the family settings from its inception, but I guess change is the only constant. Regardless, it is usually crowded at night and patronised by many locals who love drinking their nights away around a cozy hot pot. Hence, the atmosphere gets raucous at times but this is not a big deal to most us, maybe except foreigners who may find it intimidating at first. Not sure whether the staff speak English because I rarely see foreigners in this laid-back town. Also I don't know why I write this review. I don't even know whether there are more foreigners visiting this place in future, so practically this review may not be hugely beneficial to a large community. It just so happened that I was searching for a place near my house and came across this location. Things have changed so much since my first memory of this little restaurant took its form.
