The best guides for Hoi An and Surroundings! Unreal experience from both Ben and Thanh. Had the pleasure of meeting both of these guys on two separate tours which both were as great as the other. Both guides know a lot about, not only the region in which they live and guide, but also about day to day Vietnamese day to day life and culture. if you're looking for a great guide, do yourself a favour and book these guys!

Awesome 9 day tour, by the end, they were my buddies! I was in central Vietnam for 9 days and wanted to tour all of the best parts of Vietnam. After reading great reviews on TA, I decided to contact local buddy tours. They immediately replied to me, and spent so much time and effort tailoring the tour to suit my best friend and I and replied back to any question I had within an hour. We visited the paradise caves, Phong nha, Danang, Hue and Hoi an. Everything was really well organised, including a very comfortable SUV vehicle with a driver as well as lunches etc. They were also very flexible which I greatly appreciated. All the guides we had were amazing, really knowledgeable and super friendly. I can’t recommend these guys enough. They are enthusiastic, genuine and great guys. Book with them, you won’t regret it!

This tour was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. I always worry about tours taking me to touristy areas and taking out the joy of exploring local places. This was not the case. I was able to see the real Vietnamese countryside and meet some lovely people. Tu was an exceptional tour guide who made the tour so much more fun and exciting. He was able to answer all of my questions and really made the tour feel special. There is not a single bad thing to say about the trip and would recommend it to anyone who wants to see the real Vietnam. Once again I cannot thank Tu enough for such a great day out and wish you all the best for your future

Last June myself and my 5yr old son did the countryside tour by motorcycle. I must say this was one of the highlights of our trip. The tour itself was amazing but the guides were outstanding. They were so careful and responsible with my son and myself we never wanted the tour to finish. We can’t wait to get back again.

We were lucky enough to visit our daughter in Vietnam in July 2018. She planned a trip to Hoi An for us, and while we had a great time visiting the town and seeing the sights, we also wanted to get a feel for the culture and life outside the village. Tu' met us at a pre arranged spot where he gave us our bicycles for our journey into the countryside. Along the way we saw reed fields and rice fields. We saw fishermen and women at work getting ready for the day. We met a man who makes the round fishing boats and a woman and her son who weave the colorful reed matts. We were able to go into their houses and see how they live, and even try our hand at weaving. We then got to go to a restaurant where they make the very thin rice pancakes and got to be a part of the process from grinding the rice to making the pancake (think rice milk crepe). At the end we were given our crepes and some delicious dishes to dip them in for a snack. They also served us the fried version which was a delicious crunchy snack. We jumped back on the bikes and went for soft drinks to cool off. Each stop was a great history lesson as well. We felt we really saw a typical day in the life of a farmer, fisherman, weaver. Plus a chance to see the amazing countryside that we wound never have seen otherwise. Tu' is a fun and friendly guide and amazing host. He is knowledgeable and enjoyed being a part of our group. I would recommend this tour to anyone who can ride a bike. Most of the ride was flat or light grade hill so easy to navigate.

The name says it all. This tour provides you with locals whom by the end of the tour you can call your buddy. We took a countryside motorbike your with Sunny, T, and Been. The drivers we're prompt at our hotel, provided a quick overview of the day and we were off. We met many locals along the way, including a 90 year old man who is a bamboo boat weaver, a local woman who makes rice wine in her home and a 100 year old woman who still weaves traditional sleeping mats by hand! The tour also included a delicious lunch at a restaurant in an organic farm village and a ride on a Buffalo! These were certainly experiences we could not have had without locals with us. Our guides we're great to talk to, safe drivers and just fun to hang out with. This tour is totally worth the cost!

Thanh is an excellent guide and host to Hoi An Thanh speaks excellent English and it was really fun to get more insights into the local culture, traditions, and history than you would on an average tour of the sights. What I appreciated the most is that he is very friendly with the local people that you encounter along the way and will engage you in a little bit of conversation with them. I would definitely recommend Thanh as a tour guide to any of my friends!
