The reason why one comes to Hue is to visit this Citadel. A Vietnamese Forbidden City constructed along the line of the much bigger brother at Beijing. Definitely one for the bucket list
A beautiful place to visit for a view of the history of Hue. Very calm and peaceful when I went there. Bring a hat and some water, large open areas to walk across.
It’s very huge!! We took 6 hours to discover the place but it still have a great deal of buildings that we haven’t had enough time to take a look. Inside this emerald is quite hard to define the directions. Believe me, u must visit this place or you will regret. Wonderful VietNam. P/s: u should buy a combo ticket. It’s cheaper.
A beautiful place. Ticket prize for local is 150.000 and 200.000 for traveler.

Good and bad restoration. Some they did a really good job, some were a bit off. Hope the goverment can rebuild the glory of Nguyen Dynasty
