We had a great time at the afternoon cooking class. We learned a lot about vietnamese food and how to prepare it and could enjoy the very tasty dishes ourselves. The chef himself shared his philosophy of cooking in an authentic, entertaining and funny way. Definitely recommend to do this!

That's Troc. He's so friendly, cute, enthusiastic and funny. Fortunately, I found out his class on Tripadvisor while i was planning for me to explore Phu Quoc Island. Basically, I'm not a big fan of cooking. However, Troc made me change my thinking. I loved cooking and foods that He guided me and my girlfriend. Thanks so much again, my Inspirer

One of our favourite experiences so far in Vietnam! Troc is the star of the show, carefully explaining all of the Vietnamese techniques and flavours, while delivering laughter and skill throughout. In Phu Quoc, where decent local food can be hard to find in the touristy areas, the meal you cook will very likely be the best thing you eat on the island! Leaving we felt part of the family rather than customers who had just paid for an experience and meal.

Pham is such a great personality and chef, you can really feel that he loves what he does. Always a smile on his face but also very competent when it’s about serious questions or clues for cooking at home. It was an absolute pleasure for me cooking together with Pham and I can highly recommend this class to anybody who comes to Phu Quoc. For me it was definitely the highlight of my time here on this island even though there‘re a lot of other great things to do. What’s more Pham even gave me heaps of valuable tips for my further travels in Vietnam. Must do activity!

I had a fantastic time learning how to cook Vietnamese with Troc! Due to unexpected circumstances (4 last minute cancellations) I was the only one for the class, but he kindly agreed to run it anyway when usually the minimum is 2. We made four super yummy dishes (chicken lemongrass noodle salad, spring rolls, Vietnamese pancakes and caramelised fish). We enjoyed an authentic coffee and also a very tasty local beer!Troc is super approachable and keen to share his love for Vietnamese cuisine. I learnt a lot of stuff - in his class you don't just watch, you also practice - and can't wait to try the recipes at home - nothing had super fancy ingredients so definitely adaptable to a European pantry. The class is excellent value for money and I strongly recommend it. Troc even recommended an "off the beaten track" restaurant for us to try on the Island... And helped us order our food in the evening. So kind!!!!
