Good port, good stevedores but not entertainment for seafarers

I am rating this from a cruise passenger perspective. Location is bad because it is too far out from attraction. Port is about 60 minutes without traffic from Ho Chi Minh. And if you go to Ba Ria Vung Tau it is less than that. It is a container port first and foremost, so there is no facility tailored to serve the cruise customers.

A very remote industrial sea port. A very efficient container terminal and shipping business but a rather strange place to berth a cruise ship.

It's just another container terminal, cruise ships also dock here. If you want to explore local area and eat local cuisine without paying expensive excursion trip to HCM city, I recommend negotiate your taxi to Bo Nuong Hai Dan, food there is great, traditional Vietnamese BBQ dishes, and the usual spring rolls that you come to love with good price. Excellent hygiene , no stomach issues after I ate. Tourists came here as well. The owner has lots of traditional Vietnamese medicine wine for his consumption only, you might be able to get some from the owner. Talk to the owner, he will send you back to cruise terminal for a reasonable cost. Try not to look for a taxi back, in fact call the owner to come get you at the terminal gate. Just use your phone and translate your way back haha. Then walk to local market, you'll find how locals live their lives, and you'll be able to buy fresh fruits or souvenirs.

Remote area, smelly. Place for international cruise ships to stay for day visit of HCMC & surroundings.

functions as the cruise port of Saigon for larger cruise ships but in reality nothing but an ugly container terminal with absolutely no facilities.

Very hot area with high humidity. No any service for crew except illegal boat with beer and goods
