Came back here only to realize it’s no longer Crystal Jade, but the food quality was still consistent. My photos don’t do them justice but the presentation was really good. My fave was definitely the angus short rib. It’s worth noting that this was our alternative; we originally wanted the Iberico char siu but the restaurant was out of that. Nevertheless, the angus short rib blew our minds so much that I’m willing to let this slide. It’s also an excuse to come back next time xD. Mapo tofu and pork belly were also top-notch. Ambience was really nice, and the staff was super attentive and friendly. An absolute delight and can’t really ask for a more complete dining experience.

The oddly named restaurant has excellent food and service. This has replaced the Crystal Jade, which I think was a more traditional experience. The menu is smaller and less extensive than the previous incumbent, it's no longer possible to order Beijing duck on the same day or order less than a whole duck. Same with suckling pig. Only a whole or half piglet at seasonal prices. Traditional Cantonese roast options are more limited and the mixed plates are not available. Dimsum selection is good but, again, smaller than before. Overall, it is still the best place for Cantonese cuisine in Hanoi albeit slightly inferior to the restaurant it has replaced. Get a Marriott Bonvoy membership (it's free) for a 10% discount, which covers the sales tax and a smidgen more.

Made a reservation and ordered Peking duck for a birthday celebration. When I called the restaurant for the reservation no one answered. I received a call back minutes later and managed to make my reservations. She even asked about the special occasion and about my call back number. Upon arrival they seated us and did not mention the Peking duck. Apparently they did not have my reservation. Tried to make the best of it and order from the menu but 3 of the 4 dishes we attempted to order, were no longer available at 6:30 pm. We asked to pay for our drinks to leave. The manager did come, paid for our drinks and offered to get us a table at another of their restaurants but I had really come for the duck. Very disappointed. Note to self... check reservation before you go.

One of the best meals I’ve eaten in Hanoi. Kung Pao prawns were huge, crispy, sticky and unctuous.
