VINASA - Vietnam Software Association Introduction • Vietnam Software & IT Services Association (VINASA) is a national association in Vietnam, operating on a non-governmental and not-for-profit basis with the purpose to promote co-operation and mutual support among the members, in order to promote the development of Vietnam software and IT services industry and to protect the members'​ rights. VINASA was established in April 2002. • VINASA currently comprises more than 370 company members. Most of VINASA members are leading software and IT services firms operating nationwide. VINASA member companies are employing about 70% of the total number of professional programmers and account for about 75% of software production in Vietnam. • The main functions of VINASA are to act as a bridge between the Government and the software business community and to protect and promote the interests of VINASA member companies and thus help develop the Vietnam software and IT services industry. • VINASA’s activities including: o Policy building and lobbying o ICT application promotion in Vietnam: connect software and IT services providers with users through seminars, conferences, business matching, networking, exhibition and roadshows… o Software and IT Outsourcing: main markets: The USA, EU countries, Japan and Asia Pacific o Education, training and human resource development o Consulting and researching o PR and marketing supporting activities o Awards, certifications, acknowledgement of outstanding software products/solutions, IT services, companies • VINASA’s organization consists of: Business Development Services Department, Policy Department, Education and HR Resource Training Department, Membership Department, Digital Life Magazine (both in printed and online newspaper at www.nss.vn), VINASA Science and Technology Institute, Branch office in Ho Chi Minh City.
