VCV has really become a second home for my husband and I. Ms. Hay (coordinator), the students, and other volunteers at VCV have been so kind, engaging, and a pleasure to be around. Classes at VCV are filled with students who are dedicated to learning English and their hardworking attitudes inspire me to be a better teacher. Outside of class, all members of VCV are very social and there is always something interesting to take part in. Finding VCV during the uncertainty of the global COVID pandemic was really like finding a diamond in the rough. I'm so happy to be teaching at VCV, and the memories I am making here will stay with me forever! Anyone looking for a great learning environment or a fun teaching environment will certainly enjoy being at VCV.

Ive meet people that ill be friends with for the rest of my life from all over the world and the classes i have taugh have been both a challenge and a real joy. My time at VCV was a great experience I will always carry with me. This was my first-time solo traveling and commit to volunteering abroad, and my time at VCV brought so much more than expected. Ms. Hay is a wonderful person who always do her best to be helpful. Thanks to the opportunity to live in an apartment with other volunteers, eat meals together at home, share rooms with each other, etc. allowed me to tie bonds with other volunteers and build friendships. The Vietnamese students and teacher assistants are very helpful, eager to learn English and to know more about you. You are given a lot of support as given a ride to your lectures, food served back at VCV apartment, teaching material, organized weekly teaching schedule, day trips and so much more. You have an opportunity to experience the Vietnamese culture, live in a local area, and at the same time not be far away from city life. I never expected it to feel like home and to leave a piece of myself in Vietnam. I will be forever grateful for the time at VCV and hope to relocate sometime in the future.
