After reading some visitors' reviews here, I just wanted to check out by myself, how it is maintained, what the place is like, and it really needs something to improve etc. Yes, so the entrance fee is 20K, and 5K for motor-bike parking. All you see is observation deck and a bit of scary bush forest with a fear of birds may poop on your head... ! It is amazing how many birds are here and could be lively if better maintenance. By the way, on the way to this Sancturary is good as the road is really local area and people are really kind telling me the way to get here.

If you wanna watch birds, this place is an ideal place during your trip to Can Tho
This place has a looooot of storks. They return to their homes at 4-5pm and thousands of them can be seen. We witnessed a couple (properly newly wed) building their nest together. It was really interesting. And the young ones are cute too.
Amazing destination for ecotourism. Habitat of many thousands of storks, shags, and darters. That's why storks poop is all over the place. :) The road is narrow and a bit hard for cars to go, so I add a map picture showing the best route for cars to get there. Car parking and foods are available. Recommended dishes: Cò khìa nước dừa (stork braised in coconut water), cháo cò (stork porridge). Opening time: 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM. Best time to observe storks: 5:00 PM. Entrance fees: 20.000vnd/person (adults), 10.000vnd/person (children).
That place is scary. Despite the fact that it's easy to observe birds (notably egret which are quite aggressive between each other), the place is very dirty due to a big lack of maintenance (while there's still an entrance fee). The former concret "path" is under very poor condition so you cannot even walk through the "sanctuary"; trees and giant bambou block the way through. The icing on the cake, it smells bad and it's likely to receive an unexpected gift on your head coming from above...
If you arrive at this Stork Gadern after 4pm daily, you will see a lot of storks and birds return home after a day they flying out to hunt bait and make a living
While it's good that there is a safe space for these storks there isn't much you can do here. There is a viewing platform. A bit more information would be useful. The birds are rather aggressive with each other and it is amusing watching them argue.
