Beautiful place, one can buy not only art products but also enjoy a nice coffee .
You can buy original kipling very nice silk scarf made in Vietnam for this is a government shop
Dai Viet Fine Art building has all that a tourist needs. As I entered the place, I can see some ladies and men diligently doing embroidery. The embroidered linen, silk and such looks like paintings indicating the delicate and intricate embroidery and sewing. The sewing are based on actual pictures or paintings with the outline drawn on the cloth to be embroidered. They produced the exact replica of the pictures or paintings. There is a spacious and clean restrooms on the left side of the area. And a big collection of statues are exhibited inside and outside the building. The statues and stone and alabaster work are amazingly beautiful. Silk textile and ready-to-wear clothes are also sold here. So are leather handbags, ties, watches and jewellery. Dai Viet has a tidbit store as well. While waiting for the others to shop around, I had coffee at the Dai Viet Bar, Coffee for 30,000 Dong a cup.
Tourist trap for all the buses headed to Halong. Big place with everything you could want, but overpriced. It's dressed up as some sort of charity for disabled workers, with some of the embroidery workers on display and a "donation box" placed near them with company cards on top. Looking up the website yields nothing, and it's very unclear whether the "joint stock company" is actually structured to give workers fair wages. I was very uncomfortable buying anything there, since it had the general appearance of a scam. That being said, if you don't mind your money going to questionable entities, it's a fine place for one-stop shopping.
Nice stop for refreshing between Hanoi to Halong Bay. The suveinrs are awsome but a little bit expensive
Very expensive but typical for a commission heavy forced tour stop shop. Can buy stuff here if you don’t like the noise of markets. They only accept credit card if you spend over 200,000VND so must pay cash for snacks or drinks.
Went to this place 2019 brought a lovely picture and was able to pick another one up 2020
