Beautiful rooms, lovely rooftop pool, nice staff, great central location. Rooms are comfortable and have nice amenities. Free bicycle use. But all the windows are covered with wood... So there are no widows in any rooms, so it feels like you are cut off from the world when the weather is too hot to open the wooden shutters. Unfortunately my Aisian wife won't stay when it is cooler (when we could open the wooden windows) as she insists there will be too many insects and spiders and maybe even snakes. I don't know if she is right, I would love to try again, but the lack of natural light gets depressing for anything but a short stay. If they got rid of the wood which blocks 95% of the light and 100% of the view from the windows, I would rate 5 stars and definitely try to stay again. Feels like such a wasted opportunity as it could so have easily been perfect without the boarded up windows- style over substance. Buy check the other reviews, nearly everone else is fine with the windiws it seems.
My partner and I stayed here for a couple of weeks and we absolutely loved it. The rooms are very clean, modern, spacious and beautifully decorated. The rooftop pool was perfect and you can even ride around on their bicycles free of charge. The location was great and close to everything. We were very sad to leave Minh Tran Apartments as we thought of it as a home away from home. A massive bonus was Kim, our apartment Manager who was always there to help and always with a lovely smile on her face. I would 100% recommend staying here and we would love to stay here again!
Really lovely apartments. They go above and beyond to make you feel like you are in a luxury hotel (there was a welcome sign and message personalised with our name when we arrived, there was a lovely diffuser in our room, nice bath robes, etc.). The staff is really lovely. Most of them don't speak very good English, but they are always happy to help. :) The pool area on the rooftop is really nice and the view is great (the pool isn't heated so a bit cold in February). The have free bicycles (we used them to go to the beach, to the market, the old town, etc.). The room amenities are superb: washing machine, dryer, rice cooker, hob, fridge, kettle, air dryer, tv, AC, great shower (the best we have had in Asia), etc. All you need is there to have a great stay. Why did I only rate 4 stars? - you cannot see through any of the windows of any of the rooms. All the rooms have windows that have been fitted with wooden shutters screwed on. The only way to have natural light is to open the window (and let the head and insects in!). What a shame! - the insulation isn't great: we could see through the door and windows (large gap between the door panels), we could hear the neighbours and our room being close to reception we could hear people talking, bikes coming and going, music from the coffee shop nearby, etc. - there is a fully fitted kitchen to cook, but nowhere to eat your meals! Our room didn't have a table or chairs. The only place to sit was on the floor or on a light pink sofa. - we would have liked to have a starter kit for the kitchen (salt & pepper, etc.). When we asked reception, they told us we had to buy salt at the supermarket. - there was a flashing neon sign from the next door spa right outside our bedroom window (bring an eye mask if you want to be able to sleep) - the wifi was not working on our laptop. The staff at reception tried to help and said they would call their internet provider. We did not get any update on this.
