Institute of Water Resources Planning (IWRP) was established in1961 and is now an affiliate of Vietnam Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. In addition to regular functions of supporting and advising the Government, Ministries and local authorities in water resources development strategy and planning, IWRP has been actively participating in projects and research related to water resources (water, climate and ecosystems), disaster risk reduction and water governance. After 60 years, IWRP has accumulated extensive experience across Vietnam and in neighboring countries. We were recognized by both national and international communities for their achievements and contribution in researching and developing Vietnam’s water sector. IWRP has become the leading agency in Vietnam and is a reliable and competent partner in the field of water resources planning and integrated water resources management. Beside our headquarters in Hanoi, IWRP’s representative office in Vietnam Central Highlands has been developed both in terms of facilities and personnel and oriented to become the technical lead in water sector of the region.
