A comprehensive documentation of the struggle and eventual victory of the Vietnamese people during the War of American Aggression. Very informative exhibits and movie showing the level of infrastructure required to defend the motherland. Limited visitors and tourists visit the museum due to the distance from downtown Hanoi. If there is one museum to see about the war this is the one I recommend. Superb exhibits, a large outdoor memorial to those who lost their lives, equipment used and a professionally produced movie with interactive 3-D map. 20,000 dong admission. Hours posted are correct.

Excellent, well-curated museum with English-speaking staff and bilingual exhibits. Start with the movie on the 2nd floor, then there's two floors of exhibits and some interesting vehicles, a copy of a shelter, and war memorial on the grounds. You'll probably have the place to yourself - even a lot of locals don't know that this place exists. I've spent years in Vietnam, but learned a lot here that I hadn't known before - like how the HCM Trail was actually several routes - 20,000 kilometers worth - for carrying supplies, oil, and communications to the N. Vietnamese troops. Very informative and costs less than 1, which makes it a great value. Easy to get to by bus if you don't want to take a taxi or drive.
well display, well organized
Ok
Fascinating. A lot of interesting history facts and information. Sorta far from the center of Hanoi, but the view inside paid off.
Totally worthy. A must visit in Hanoi. Easy to go by public bus or grab
The greatest museum I ve Seen so far in Vietnam. Worth the journey (it s non central).
I got a grab during morning Rush hour. Cost 170,000 dong. Did not have any trouble finding a Grab back. Interesting museum. Even after visiting many other museums in Hanoi, it was well worth the trip.
