Interesting place and not commercialised at all. Make sure you get a guide or go with someone who knows them so you don't miss out. There are various entrances/exits to the tunnels dotted around and not easy to spot (like under a haystack!).

Amazing how the human will can strive to overcome and win against superior odds. A brilliant guide made history come alive . A must if want to know more about the vietnamese People.
If you are keen for adventure, or a history and war enthusiast then this is a great place. It is off the beaten track in a sleepy village, and run by a local who lived there during the war. Tunnels are great- very well preserved! We were the only people in the entire site, and we paid a very small fee. Ride a bike from Hoi An or DaNang and do a day trip. Combining it with the Tam Ky painted village is a great idea. It is a rural area and the roads are windy, so use google maps as best you can. If you use a bike, make sure you have enough fuel for the way back. Lots of people sell gas on the roadside.
A hidden place in the jungle that shows the tunnels that were used by the Việt Cộng in the Vietnam (American) war. The entrance is free. There is a small exposition and several tunnels that can be visited. Entrance to one of them is in the back of the monastery, the commander's tunnel can be found by going on the path along the outer side of the right wall (when looking at the monastery gate). I suppose that there are even more tunnels, but we have not found any of them. There was a local guy (tunnel keeper?) that had a phone with few English phrases about the place. The tunnels are lit by electric lamps.
Very interesting experience with a fantastic guide who has lived in the area for over 50 years, so he really knows everything there is to know, and a very nice man too
Ok to visit, but need to invest more for tourism
