A wonderful experience. Love the food, the view and the staff on Paradise Elegance. The cabin and private balcony give me really comfort feelings. What a vacation!

Booked the 2-day 1-night tour on Paradise Elegance to celebrate our anniversary with a high expectation. Woke up at 6am to catch the shuttle bus and arrived at the waiting spot at 10am. We then had to waited 2 hours to actually get on the cruise. The cruise itself was okay as the room was a bit small and tore out. The food onboard was average and the drinks were overpriced. The attractions planned were rush and overcrowded with no proper introduction/explanation. Luckily, the staffs onboard were nice and Ronald, the cruise manager, was great. On the second day, we had to leave the cruise at 10am and wait for the shuttle till noon. I would call this a 1-day 1-night cruise experience as you actually stay in the cruise for less than 22 hours (and more than 5 hours waiting for nothing). If I would choose again, I would probably spend the USD400 elsewhere.

The cruise was an incredible experience. the service manager Christine was attentative and caring; she catered to our every need and treated us like we were the only ones on the cruise. It was very well organised and they kept to the schedule with no delays. The food was very very good, with lots of selection which could meet any dietary requirements. ALL staff gave amazing service and treated you with the utmost care. Room was spacious, clean & the bed super comfy. The staff spoke very good English & made it so easy to communicate with them. We would like to thank Christine & her crew for delivering such an amazing experience.

Overall, we had a great time on this cruise. The rating is more for Halong Bay than the cruise line/ship. The shuttle bus from Hanoi is pretty long. However, the shuttle bus we took was really nice with Wifi and first class airplane style seats. A decent amount of downtime once arriving in Halong City (60-90 min before and after). The Bay is FULL of trash. It was disgusting. The kayak excursion was gross. Kayaking through trash. The trip to the cave was nice. The fishing for squid was the yuckiest experience in my life as a steady stream of trash went by my fishing line. Finally I quit when a floating syringe hit my line. The food and service were good ON the ship as well as all the activities. Cooking class was fun, tai chi was invigorating if you can wake up that early. One major complaint I had was the lack of bar service. The upstairs outdoor bar was NEVER open, not even once! And the inside bar was only open during meal times. The room was nice but it's such a short cruise that you spend VERY little time in it or on the balcony. If you're searching for rooms on other ships or this cruise, go with a cheaper one, you won't be in it much. As I knew going in, there were a TON of ships in Halong Bay. You could clearly see the difference in the 5* range ships versus the lower class ones. Go with the 5*. If I had to do it again, I don't think I would. We paid 663 for 2 rooms. It was beautiful from a distance, but I have a lump in my throat ready to gag just thinking about the garbage in the Bay. As long as a polluted body of water doesn't bother you, you'll enjoy. If it does bother you or you're an environmentalist (I'm not), find something else to do.

Tolles Schiff, tolle Crew, sehr gutes Essen, schönes Erlebnis!!!!
