Lovely and scenery mini moutain on an island off a lake in the center of Ninh Binh City. It has a connecting bridge linking the spot with Hoa Lu Hotel. A peaceful place to have a walk or sooth your soul in a spiritual temple inside the mountain.

Little far from Hanoi, it took over 2 hours by Taxi! We suffered very hard time to return to Hanoi because of heavy traffic. It totally different view with Hanoi city but I couldn’t feel any speciality compared with my country.

Very plain and boring park.. Handful of monkeys in miserable cages. Cute little mountain right next to it though with a shrine and old bunkers on top.

It’s a scary park. Everything looks abandoned and creepy. There is this abandoned big wheel, stray dogs running around, barking at you and following you, a really odd-looking little zoo with monkeys and a crocodile whose conditions don’t look humane at all, a big, dirty lake with empty and lonely swan boats... Everything there has some shade of gray, it looks like nobody takes care of it. And then there’s this big communist monument. It has its atmosphere but it’s a scary park.

Dreary atmosphere. Wouldn‘t go there again. I was the only tourist there, so everybody starred at me. Felt uncomfortable

Several small temples 20k dong for entrance. If you are traveling with a scooter hit this place for some photos and a little history lesson.

I enjoyed every minute there, the beautiful and breathtaking scenery, the local Vietnamese hospitality, the roasted peanuts, and of coursethe trekking :)
