This is a great craft activity for the whole family. We went to the Lantern Lady for the second time, and she remembered my girls from over a year ago. Everyone was very helpful and patient. The kids had fun making their lanterns.

We had a really nice afternoon with the Lantern Ladies while the weather was cloudy and we waited for the rain. They were very helpful and helped with every step as we did it. Some how the kids were able to make their faster then the adults. I love that we didn't need reservations and could just walk right in. There were a few different options with different prices (all very reasonable) and took longer or shorter depending how long you want to spend there. It took us about an hour and was perfect for us. This is the perfect activity for all age groups.
Saw this place online and decided to give it a try, so glad we did. It was a great experience and for our first try I don't think we did too bad. The lady who taught us was very patient and a lovely teacher. It cost about 10 for the two of us and was worth every penny. Highly recommended. Also, you don't need to book, just turn up and on two minutes you are making your first lantern.
Wow! What a wonderful business concept. In the Lantern Lady’s workshops you will learn about the history of lanterns in Hội An, how to make a lantern under careful instruction and finally you get to keep the lantern you make as a beautiful keepsake of your time in Hội An. Highly recommend for people of all ages and abilities. Note: Lanterns can be folded down to ensure they fit into your luggage.
Exactly what we were looking for on a rainy day in Hoi An. Her fabrics are beautiful, her manner is patient and kind, her English is perfect and the lanterns look amazing! Quite an intimate experience - she runs the workshops in a small studio attached to her house. You can probably for two groups in there around the two tables. These are the perfect gift for our friends back home
An amazing craft in its simplicity, The instructor gives close and dedicated guidance, but still there is lot of independent work that makes the result very joyful. I enjoyed it so much that I made two lanterns one after the other That's the perfect handmade souvenir from a trip to Vietnam! p.s. For anyone who is worried, the lantern easily folds into convenient packaging
Great activity for our children (aged 7 and 9) though all the other people doing it were adults. Friendly and attentive staff who made sure the lamps looked brilliant by the end. Highly recommended
We had a great time making lanterns. The staff was patient and helped us through the whole process. Prices were great as well. I would definitely recommend this you are looking for a souvenir with a little more meaning behind it.
