We came across this monument while visiting Poshanu Cham Tower trail and it continues behind this monument that you can climb up to a more higher ground. We didn’t find any information regarding this monument in English at the site.

This is the Victory Statue in memory of the battle on 14 June 1947 against the Prince Palace on Banai’s Hill. Worth the walk further up the hill from the Cham temples. There is a path continuing up the hill to the ruins of the fort but it was blocked off.
