Really nice boat, food is fairly good but I'm sure it will improve as they are a new crew. The alcohol on board is too expensive however. The rooms are huge and great sized bathrooms. Our group was fun but very mixed with all ages. Music definitely needs to be improved to give it a more fun vibe however.

The rooms and main boat were very spacious and quite clean. The outgoing boat seemed to be in a slight state of disrepair but this was ok as you are only on it for short periods of time anyway. The staff were very polite and attentive in the main boat, whilst it was clear that the chef went to a little t of effort with the food. Be aware that they will serve a lot of different dishes of all kinds of meats, making a great experience, but also something to be careful of if you have a sensitive stomach. We went in the two night option so the second day we were transferred to another combined boat. The man on this boat was not so friendly or polite, but the experience of going to Catba Island and having another opportunity to swim and kayak in slightly more remote parts of Lan Ha Bay means that it was still worth it. But please note that you will have to pay for drinks on this part of the cruise at inflated prices, in fact the way the crew hands out drinks you may even think the drinks are included, but they are not. Finally the bus transfer to and from Hanoi was very comfortable and included a stop midway, so the trip only took about two and a half hours.

Paid extra than the general ones available thinking we were paying for a better experience. Day one was okay. There was no safety drill as promised when we started the cruise. Two of of my friends were vegetarian and it was not honoured. One was non vegetarian but I was not given any non veg while my neighbours were given the same. Then they apologized and don't give us any desert as they "ran out of it" phew !! Day two was a bigger disaster. We were taken to a point in a nice boat by Mr.Eagle our manager and asked to use the kayaks to reach some island without giving any proper instructions.Not realising it was the end of the bay where the rough seas start another passenger and me were on a kayak. The rapids took us into deep seas where warning signs were put up . We had no control of the kayak.Tried shouting for help, blowing the whistle, asking for help any which way. No lifeguard,no manager,no human in sight for over an hour. Was completely shattered by this experience until some American people helped us out . So irresponsible and absolutely no safety measures from La Paci. I suggest please don't take such chances. The hostess Phoebe was not at all apologetic and instead defending their stance. NEVER Ever suggest this cruise to anyone.

La Paci offered a rather nice cruise. The rooms were clean and good sized. We appreciate that it only took us slightly more than 2hrs to get to the cruise. My family enjoyed the activities offered like kayaking... We particularly enjoyed the boat ride around the caves. It was great that there wasn't that many cruise ships along Lan Ha Bay currently. The cruise size wasn't big so it didn't feel crowded. We didn't really like the food offered on board unfortunately. Other than that, I would think that the value was pretty decent. I would recommend La Paci if you are not too particular about food.

Had previously been to Halong Bay a year back - but this is a new route (which is much less inundated with tourists and way quieter!) with similarly gorgeous views. 2D1N with Minh and crew - definitely worth the experience with this route, team and itinerary! Go for this instead of the over-subscribed HLB routes/ships!

Our trip was ok at most. The staff was friendly enough, but there was not much to do. Food was just ok. Rooms were nice and comfy, but the bathroom were not nice. The ship is tired and old, 2 stars cruise at top.
